Oh yeah. I forgot about this little thing. That’s good though, because it means I don’t have a whole lot to vent…unlike when I was working for a certain pharmaceutical company (I still have dreams about being stuck in a vat of toothpaste).
Anyway, I thought I’d try and get things rolling again with a picture. There was a double rainbow a couple of weeks ago that was pretty neat, so here it is.

I made a Mad Monkey for my mom and a Crazy Cat for my sister. They have winter scarves.
My sis requested a cat hat for her cat Lulu.
I also made a cat hat for people for my sister-in-law and her boyfriend, as well as for my sister. They are reversible, because sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don’t want people to think you are crazy.
So since I have no job yet, I made everyone presents for that famous carpenter’s b-day.
I made Craig’s mom a Noah’s Ark set with farm animals I sewed myself. Horses, pigs, cats, sheep, bunnies, a cow and a bull, a chicken and a rooster, and of course a dove returning with good news of land ahead.
I am happy with how it turned out, and she really liked it a lot. But HOLY COW it took a long time! And I did it all by hand. I had a hole in my finger from sewing so much. There’s no way I’d have been able to make it if I’d been working.
I also made gingerbread zombies.
I was trying to make normal gingerbread men ornaments, but when I was cutting the first one I slipped. So I made it look like his foot had been bitten off. Zombie gingerbread men are way more fun than normal ones anyway.

There are other things, but not everyone has gotten their presents yet and I can’t spoil their terror surprise.

I made Crazy cat completely by hand. He is made with felt that is from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. Crazy Cat even has a heart. It was gently shoved into his little body when I was stuffing him.
Crazy Cat likes to do a lot of the same things real cats do, like get into things they aren’t supposed to and lie around.
If you want your own Crazy Cat, you can get one here.
